Brookhaven National Laboratory Honors Memorial Day with Guest Speaker Kelly Sullivan

The Brookhaven Veterans Association was honored to have Kelly Sullivan as their guest speaker at its 2019 Memorial Day ceremony.

Kelly Sullivan is the granddaughter of Albert Sullivan, one of the five Sullivan brothers who perished during World War II while serving on the USS Juneau. Movies have been made noting the tragic event, including the 1945 film, “The Fighting Sullivan’s,” and the 1998 epic tale, “Saving Private Ryan.”

Kelly continues the Sullivan legacy to support the United States military by speaking to various organizations about the importance of recognizing and respecting the sacrifices of our veterans.
