Mumbai's Major Infrastructure Boost: Metro Lines & Pod Taxi 🚆

Mumbai’s infrastructure is getting a massive upgrade as Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated key projects including Metro Line 2B and Metro Line 9, boosting connectivity across the city.

Metro Line 2B (D.N. Nagar to Mandale) spans 23.6 km with 20 stations, connecting major highways, railways, and multiple metro corridors, while Metro Line 9 links Dahisar to Mira-Bhayandar, bringing metro access to a rapidly growing suburb.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority is developing the Thane–Borivali tunnel, which will cut travel time from 90 minutes to just 15 minutes by passing under Sanjay Gandhi National Park.

Adding a futuristic touch, Mumbai will also get a driverless pod taxi system in BKC, designed to solve last-mile connectivity for lakhs of daily commuters.

These projects aim to reduce congestion, improve connectivity, and transform daily travel across Mumbai.
