Thailand's famous Soi Cowboy alleyway of gogo bars and strip clubs remained closed today as the country continues to enforce coronavirus restrictions of high-risk businesses.<br /><br />Footage shows how many of the venues have chains across the entrances, some have closed for good and fallen into a state of disrepair while others are being renovated.<br /><br />Health officials have recorded no new locally transmitted cases of Covid-19 in almost a month, leading to thousands of business re-opening as preventative measures are eased.<br /><br />Residents are forced to wear face masks and use tracking app in public buildings. However, nightlife in Bangkok and all other cities remains closed.<br /><br />Bars, nightclubs, hostess clubs and 'soapy massage' venues have been prevented from resuming business due to the close contact involved between staff and customers.<br /><br />Ministers have not signalled when the businesses, one of the key parts of the country's tourism industry, can re-open.
