The Trinamool Congress (TMC) is confronting its most serious challenge in nearly three decades, with a rebellion now reaching Parliament.

While Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee were in Delhi for an INDIA Bloc meeting, 20 of TMC's 28 Lok Sabha MPs, reportedly led by Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, are said to have written to Speaker Om Birla backing the BJP-led NDA.

The dramatic move comes days after 58 TMC MLAs reportedly revolted in the West Bengal Assembly.

Will the Speaker recognize the breakaway faction? Can Mamata hold her party together? And could this Bengal upheaval push the NDA past the 300-seat mark in Parliament?
