In this video Walter Isaacson is discussing Alan Turing, an English mathematician who was recruited to work in Bletchley Park, to help a team crack the secret Nazi code. You might be familiar with this story as it was created into a movie titled “The Imitation Game.”

Alan Turing designed a machine that would ultimately serve as the basis of the first electronic tube computer, in order to decipher the Nazi code and essentially win the war. He developed the theory that machines could think and established the imitation game to prove that machines, do indeed, generate thought.
