आठवें वेतन आयोग को लेकर केंद्रीय कर्मचारियों और पेंशनर्स में उम्मीद भी है और बेचैनी भी, क्योंकि वे जानना चाहते हैं कि लागू होने में देरी हुई तो उन्हें एरियर के रूप में कितनी रकम मिल सकती है। सरकार ने प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है, लेकिन अभी लागू होने की तारीख तय नहीं होने से सवाल लगातार बढ़ रहे हैं। दरअसल, अक्टूबर 2025 में केंद्रीय कैबिनेट ने आठवें वेतन आयोग (8th Pay Commission) के टर्म्स ऑफ रेफरेंस (ToR) को मंजूरी दे दी थी। इसका मतलब है कि आयोग अब वेतन ढांचे का अध्ययन कर सरकार को अपनी सिफारिशें देगा
