The Lexus RX is one of the original luxury crossovers that ushered in the segment that has taken over the world. Lexus has worked hard to keep it fresh with different powertrains and bold new looks, but is it enough to stay relevant when there is so much competition?

2025 Lexus RX Design and quality

For many years, Lexus stuck to a conservative and mild design in order to hold onto its loyal customers, but the past decade has seen them experiment with much bolder and more aggressive looks from their concepts right into their production cars.

Of course, looks are only one aspect of the design, and the other is practicality. The Lexus RX is a midsize five-seat crossover, with generous space.

While the 2025 Lexus RX 500h Black Line Special Edition is the top of the RX lineup, it is no M or AMG, but it at least has sufficient power to get out of its own way. The zero to 100 km/h sprint is dispensed with in 6.2 seconds thanks to 367 net horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque from a 2.4L turbo four-cylinder and electric motor both kicking in impressive low end grunt.
