The price of gold had reached a historic high this month. However, it has since seen a sharp decline. In the international market, spot gold had hit a record high of $4,381.21 per ounce. It has now fallen more than 6% to around $4,100. This is the largest one-day loss since 2013. Meanwhile, in India, gold prices have dropped from ₹1.32 lakh to around ₹1.21 lakh per 10 grams.
