"علي شورب" ابن الحلفاوين الذي رأى والده يقتل امام عينيه في سن العاشرة من عمره، من شدة العنف الذي الحقه به الجندارمي صاحب "الشوارب" بسبب رفض والده اعطائهم الغلال دون مقابل.
كان ذلك امام جميع الباندية، بما فيهم ولد عمار باندي الربط لاخر ، الذين فضلوا الصمت و لم يتدخلوا.
ولم يشفع تدخل والدته، التي انهال عليها الجندارمي ضربا و اهانها و طرحها ارضا، مما جعل "علي شورب" يندفع ويضرب "ابو شنب" ، ليجد نفسه في الاصلاحية وهو في عمر الزهور.
خمس سنوات خرج بعدها "علي شورب " الذي قض كامل اوقاته في مشاغبة الجندارمية و التنكيل بهم ليجد نفسه مناضلا دون تخطيط و لا ارادة منه.
