At a rally in Queens focused on the Muslim & South Asian community, New York City Mayoral Candidate Zohran Mamdani & Congressman Ro Khanna made their final pitch to voters ahead of Tuesday’s election. Both Democrats emphasized the diverse coalition supporting Mamdani, who could be the first Indian American big city mayor in history.

Khanna aimed to dispel the notion that Mamdani has used divisive rhetoric throughout this campaign that has caused concern for Indian Americans & Hindu Americans around the country.
