Youth meets: What do you know about German colonialism?

Between 1884 and 1918, Germany colonized parts of Africa, including present-day Tanzania. This period began during the Berlin Conference of 1884–85, when European powers divided Africa without consulting its people. In this video series, high school students from Berlin and from countries that were colonized by Germany ask each other what they know about this shared past and its legacy.
