Markets Recover - August 10th, Market Update

- Mixed news today. European stock-index futures and Asian stocks climbed for the first time in seven days as investors took comfort in the Federal Reserve's pledge to keep interest rates near zero in their continued implementation of unconventional monetary policy.

- Commodities also rallied, with oil rebounding from a 10-month low as a result of this announcement.

- The FTSE 100 bounced back from 13-month lows rising around 1.9 percent to 5,164 yesterday and opening at around 5,263 this morning.

- However, gold futures continued to soar up to 1,743 dollars as economic worries linger.
