Police have arrested five suspected members of a drug syndicate that processed and sold narcotics via the WeChat messaging platform during three separate raids in Johor Baru on June 19, which also led to the seizure of drugs worth over RM2.9mil.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday (July 2), Johor police chief Comm Datuk M. Kumar said the suspects — three local men and two Vietnamese women, aged between 29 and 46 — were detained during the operation.
