A young woman has spent up to £10,000 on 1950s vintage fashion and accessories to embrace her "authentic self."

Claudia Lou, 21, from Warrington, Cheshire, has built a collection of over 100 dresses, including an unworn 1950s prom gown, and treasures items like an original record player and vintage vanity set.

Inspired by old films, she began dressing in vintage styles at 18 and says she loves the elegance of the era but not its outdated values.

While her friends don’t share her passion, she enjoys connecting with older people who appreciate her nostalgic style.
