DepEd holds first convention on human resource development
The Department of Education (DepEd) holds its first-ever Human Resource and Organizational Development (HROD) Convention at the Philippine International Convention Center on Feb. 19, 2025 to organize DepEd HROD leaders across the country and discuss the agency's Human Resource programs and projects. A highlight was the signing of a Joint Memorandum Circular between the DepEd and Department of Budget and Management on the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Modified Career Progression program for its personnel. Education Secretary Sonny Angara said the circular would allow thousands of teachers boost their careers in the public school system.
