Putin and Orban discuss Ukraine peace in Moscow

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor #Orban visited #Moscow to discuss #Ukraine peace with Russian President Vladimir #Putin. Putin reiterated that Russia's proposals are key to resolving the conflict and thanked Orban for attempting to restore dialogue between Russia and #Europe.

Ukraine sees its 10-point peace plan and a recent international summit based on it as the only realistic path, and said Orban's trip to Moscow was not coordinated with #Kyiv.

Hungary views its six-month presidency of the European Union as a peace mission, Orban told a press conference on Friday. “The points of view (between Ukraine and Russia) are far from each other,” said Orban after the talks with Putin.
