Pagasa: PH records highest daytime temperature
Climate monitoring and prediction chief Analiza Solis of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that the Philippines recorded its highest, maximum daytime temperature at 40.3 degrees Celsius in Tarlac on April 27 and again on May 6, 2024. Solis clarified that maximum daytime temperature is different from the heat index, with the highest recorded at 53 degrees Celsius. Heat index is measured along with the relative humidity of the atmosphere combined with the possible effect on the human body.
