For the first time since the first game of the season, FC Dallas is coming off of a win.
A 2-0 win, to be clear, with goals from Petar Musa, scoring in his second-straight game, and Sebastien Ibeagha, his second in an FC Dallas uniform, over in-state foes Houston Dynamo FC, for the upper hand in the first leg of the Texas Derby.
A seven-game winless streak is no more for Dallasâwhile FCD is still second-to-last in the Western Conference, its opponent this Saturday is in the top four of the Eastern Conference.
FCD will take on Toronto FC, who is coming off of a late come-from-behind 2-1 win over Orlando City SC. Forward Tyrese Spicer scored the equalizer in the 87th minute, and forward Prince Owusu completed the second-half comeback, scoring in his fourth consecutive match, now leading the Reds with five goals on the season.
Owusu has played a part in seven of Toronto FCâs last 10 goalsâfive goals and two assists coming into this match will keep FC Dallasâ hands full.
It will be the teamsâ first meeting in two years, and Dallasâ first trip to BMO Field since 2018, when things kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
