About this video

After launching a campaign with the Vehicle Theft Reduction Council in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, Road Transport Department senior enforcement director Datuk Lokman Jamaan told reporters that the number of theft cases of vehicles declined by about 57% from 10,226 in 2019 to 4,352 in 2022.

But he said authorities are still working on bringing down the cases as there was still a demand for cloned vehicles and many vehicle owners were still negligent in preventing their vehicles from being stolen.
