About this video
Japan experiments with machine to unlock power of the sun
Japan's JT-60SA machine might look like something out of a 1970s sci-fi movie with its complex pipes and big metal pot. But inside, it's a special place where scientists do experiments at super high temperatures to try and make clean, safe energy from nuclear fusion. Fusion energy, like what powers the Sun, has been a big goal for scientists for a long time because it's clean, doesn't make a lot of waste, and could give us lots of power without taking up a ton of space on Earth.
