It further specifies that Trump cannot retain copies and can only review the case materials under the direct supervision of the Defense Counsel or a member of the counsel's staff. The order was granted in response to a motion filed by prosecutors, who requested conditions on how the defense stores and uses the documents. Trump, currently the front-runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, is accused of illegally retaining classified government documents after leaving the White House and conspiring to obstruct a federal probe related to the matter.
