Cinema Guide: First of the Christmas picks and more

Summering is the seasonally subversive flick available to watch in cinemas right now. This coming of age drama follows four best friends on the brink of starting middle school who realise their lives are about to change forever. On the last weekend of summer, they set out to make the most of it.

Violent Night sees An elite team of mercenaries breaking into a family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone hostage inside. However, they aren't prepared for a surprise combatant: Father Christmas himself.
