Inhalt: Mika will die Sommerferien mit Ostwind ausgiebig genießen. Doch dann entdeckt sie eine Wunde am Bauch des Tieres und niemand kann ihr sagen, woher die Verletzung stammt. Zu allem Überfluss droht Kaltenbach die Pleite. Um das zu verhindern, meldet sie sich bei einem Vielseitigkeitsturnier an, bei dem ein hohes Preisgeld winkt. Während der Übungen wirkt Ostwind allerdings abgelenkt und haut oft einfach ab. Mika folgt ihrem Hengst und sieht, dass er im Wald eine Schimmelstute aufsucht. Plötzlich erscheint Milan und erklärt, dass die Stute ihm entflohen ist. Er will das Tier wieder einfangen und bittet Mika um Hilfe.
