(Aamer Habib Crime Reporter) Does government care about the safety and lives of public? If it is so, then why doesn’t it pay attention to the underlying facts? Why don’t the high government officers supervise the governmental constructions themselves or keep an eye? A huge crack appeared in the G.P.O Road, Lahore after a heavy rain. Interim government of Punjab took the notice and formed a committee to inquire about the matter. A special conference was held at Civil Secretariat under the presidency of Provisional Minister of Transportation to consider the main causes and aspects of the matter. It was decided to punish the relevant responsible people involved in the construction of the road.
The committee has been ordered to submit the report within 48 hours. Is all this of benefit now to think about? What if a number of people would have lost their lives? Was the government so blind to judge or investigate before giving the responsibility of roads construction to such untrustworthy people? Ordon’t they care whatever happens? Do you consider it just a fault of the road constructors that they hadn’t work properly and used rough material? What about those who allowed them to do so by their carelessness?
