South Carolina Lottery Claims $1.6 Billion Mega Millions Jackpot

Lottery officials confirmed that a
ticket in the state had matched
all six numbers in Tuesday
night’s drawing. The winning numbers were: There was a 1 in 302 million chance of picking all six numbers correctly. The identity of the winner and the exact location the ticket was purchased have still not been disclosed. Winners will have a choice between annuity or a cash option of $877.8 million. The option of annuity would disperse the cash prize over the next 30 years. Regardless of the payout option, the winnings will be reduced by 24% after tax. The jackpot had been growing since July 2018.
