Andre Veilleux - Wait And Wait And Wait

pain and apologies continue their echoes,
as the apologies have been said many times this time,
just after the act of parting such a beautiful 3 weeks,
she promised she'd call,
she would be the one to keep in touch,
she wouldn't treat me like I didn't exist this time,
she wouldn't act as if these feelings she read were for someone else,
she wouldn't act as if they were just letters on a page,

I remember a similar problem last time,
cold silence killed me,
it is killing me again,
we were together the second time and,
she said it, she said..
'Aww, I never meant to hurt you, I'm so sorry! '
reffering back to how she so brutally ignored me after the break,
so brutally treated me like a ghost she wished to forget,
both times now it wasnt my fault,
yet both times now i'm the one that gets fucking eaten alive,
with no sympathy,
there is no aid from her,
she says she cares, she says I mean alot to her, and that I'm amazing and yet she breaks me so.

Kind of painful overall,
Kind of hard to swallow,
Yet I'll suck it up and wait,
I'll stand still, stop my love life,
To wait for her, or for no one at all,
I love her and she doesn't grasp the strength of that,
She doesn't fathom what it means to me to have her at my side,
So even in these broken times she's not dead to me,
I may seem dead to her but can't accept that,
I will wait and wait and wait and wait,
until my heart tells me it's enough,
because my brain is useless in this,
it doesnt understand love well,
like teaching a baby algebra,
So against my brain,
I will wait...
