About this video
Security is being tightened in Jerusalem after three attacks in which vehicles have been used to slam into pedestrians.
Barriers have been erected at bus and tram stations after a
member of Hamas drove a minivan into a crowd.
One policeman died and a dozen people were hurt. The driver was shot dead.
One commuter, Amy Sarousi, said:
“I feel safer today that I see that they have the roadblocks. I hope that I don’t have to stand behind them all the time but at least you know they are there.
Passenger Sarah Haber said: “I think it’s crazy that that’s what we have to do, that we have to start putting up barriers next to train stations, next to bus stops.”
Just hours after the minivan attack in Jerusalem, the Israeli military says a Palestinian motorist drove into a group of soldiers in the West Bank, injuring three.
And in a previous car attack a woman and a baby were killed.
The atmosphere in Jerusalem is tense with clashes also breaking out at the Al Aqsa mosque compound.
