Kochadaiiyaan Movie Review: Epic Rajinikanth Blockbuster You Can't Miss 🎬

Rajnikanth films have always been celebrated like a festival and this time around, we have an even higher octane anticipation rolling up with his much awaited 3D thrill, Kochadaiiyaan. Yes! Marking its release on the 23rd of May, 2014, while this film had already hyped its buzz owing to its impressive star cast like Rajni and Deepika Padukone, this 3D animated further stole the major limelight over its first attempt at motion capture 3D animation. So keeping our fingers crossed, let's find out how far has Rajni's daughter- director Soundarya managed to live up to our expectations through this film! <br />Firstly, a quick brush up through the film's plot. 'Kochadaiiyaan' narrates a story of a great warrior Rana played by Rajinikanth, who returns back to his kingdom after a victorious defeat. To which, king Nassar along with his son & daughter Vadhana played by Deepika, welcome him and appoint him as a commander in chief in their kingdom. But Rana has something else to acquire which is related to his powerful father Kochadaiiyaan, again doubled by Rajinikanth. So what happens next through his empowering rule and action is what the entire film is all about. <br />As per the story, the plot effectively grips a very strong narration with some brilliant sequences that will bring you to the edge of your seat. In fact, the action and the ancient wars that have been put up on screen ooze out a whole new live impact through its 3D effects! Aah...what a bliss! Though you might sense a few clichés and fail to accept Rajni as an animated avatar but again, with the pace at which the film keeps flowing surpasses all the flaws popping up! Coming to performances, needless to say, while Rajni steals the major limelight with his triple dhamka, others like Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Nassar, R. Sarathkumar, Nagesh and Aadhi too look great in their cinematic avatar. <br />To sum this up, Kochadaiiyaan might have given a miss at quite a few stuffs on to its technology prospects but now, it's after all your Rajnikanth film na?...toh megastar ke liye blockbuster to banta hai!!! <br />On the rating scale, we at Bollywood Uncut give it 3.5stars on 5!
