Surface–enhanced ellipsometric contrast (SEEC) microscopy allows to identify slime as a major adhesion factor during bacterial surface motility. SEEC microscopy is a label-free optical technique based on new generation of optical slide displaying outstanding contrast-enhanced properties to a point nanometric structures/samples can be visualize from a regular optical system.
