Obama defends US mining data

US President Barack Obama has defended the surveillance practices of his administration.
The US government and its spy agencies can see much of people's online activities.
Leaked documents show that they have been using the world's largest internet companies to spy on foreigners. Civil liberties groups are furious.Al Jazeera's Patty Culhane reports from Washington.
