Why Is Tech Hiring So Tough in 2025? 🤔

Why does finding a tech job feel so hard right now? I take a deep dive on what’s changed in the job market, from the pandemic hiring boom and bust, to how AI is shifting expectations, to why it seems like every job posting gets thousands of applications. Competition is tougher, companies are pickier, and the bar is higher than it was even a couple years ago.

This is my attempt at a video essay to find out what’s actually happening in the industry, what kind of skills companies are prioritizing, and how to shift your strategy so you’re better positioned in the market and anticipate future trends in the tech industry.
