Wonder Man Episode 7 & Finale Review ✨

We know WONDER MAN can FLY in the Comics but can the show Stick the landing in the MCU? I've historically had some qualms with my favorite MARVEL TV shows finales WandaVision is 90% for me but that last episode didn't quite work for me. Moon Knight was my JAM until the end. (Loki Seasons 1 and 2 remain near perfect top to bottom) I've been saying from the beginning this show has the potential to be amongst my top 3 or 4 Live Action MCU Shows - If the finale is as strong as the rest. Wonder Man is an American television miniseries created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is intended to be the 17th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, via its Marvel Television label, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. Guest serves as showrunner. The series is also produced by Family Owned and Onyx Collective. The show follows Simon Williams, who is trying to earn the lead role in a remake film of Wonder Man along with Trevor Slattery.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams / Wonder Man, alongside X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Arian Moayed, Shola Adewusi, Demetrius Grosse, Béchir Sylvain, Kameron J. Meadows, Olivia Thirlby, Byron Bowers, Joe Pantoliano, Josh Gad, and Ben Kingsley (Slattery). In December 2021, Cretton signed an overall deal with Marvel Studios to create television series for Disney+, with a comedy series already in development at that point. In June 2022, the series was revealed to be centered on Wonder Man, with Guest involved, and Cretton set to direct episodes of the series. Abdul-Mateen joined the cast that October, with Stella Meghie and James Ponsoldt set to also direct in February 2023. Filming began in early April 2023 in Los Angeles, before production was shut down in late May due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike. It resumed by early January 2024 and had concluded by that April. The series was officially revealed in October 2024.

Wonder Man was released in its entirety on Disney+ on January 27, 2026, and consists of eight episodes. It is part of Phase Six of the MCU, and released under the "Marvel Spotlight" banner.
