Why Super Mario 64 Remains the Best 🎮

You gotta love Mario. Throughout the 80’s and early 90’s, he ruled the platforming roost. As technology advanced, he slowly accrued more bits and got increasingly handsome, might I say, but in 1996, something changed. The release of the Nintendo 64 enabled Mario to shed his pixels and pack on the polygons for a medium defining 3D adventure, Super Mario 64. It’s safe to say that it changed the game, but almost 30 years later, does it still live up to its sky high reputation?
