Millennials View Volunteerism as Political Alternative ✨

Many young people see volunteerism and grassroots organizations as alternatives to the traditional political process. “The voting booth is not the only place where politics goes on,” said Pamela Perlich, Director of Demographic Research at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute. “You’re either voting and that’s when you’re political or you’re not participating in politics. … The new generation is just crashing through these barriers.”
