Hollywood's Shift Away from 2D Animation 🎬

Disney, Dreamworks, Illumination, and Sony Pictures Animation have steered away from 2D animation for the longest time, while companies like Studio Ghibili continue to embrace it. Ever since The Princess and The Frog, CGI Animation has been the standard for Hollywood, and 2D has been relegated to television. However, international 2D animation is still alive and well, from anime to French animations, so why has Hollywood abandoned this once beloved medium?
