Trump's Saudi Defence Deal Upsets Netanyahu 🇸🇦

US President Donald Trump this week signed a comprehensive defence pact with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Bin Salman, also known as MBS. The deal includes supplying dozens to F-35 fighter jets and allowing the Islamic kingdom to pursue a civil nuclear programme. Trump has done so despite knowing that his friend Benjamin Netanyahu wouldn’t be happy with this arrangement. Rifat Jawaid argues that this will create new power dynamics in West Asia, much to the discomfort of the lobby.
