GOTY 2025 Nominations: A Game-Changing Year 🎮

The Game of the Year 2025 nominees have just been announced. Big names like Death Stranding 2 and Donkey Kong Bananza make the cut, but its the ommision of big brand titles like Mafia, The Outer Worlds 2 and Assassin Creed Shadows which is the most surprising! In their place are Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Silksong, Hades II and Clair Obscur Expedition 33, all games made by smaller indie studios. Just 7 years ago, the nominations were dominated by AAA studios but the roles have now been completely flipped with Indie Studios taking the spotlight. Many say this is just a good year, but I feel it is a pivotal moment in gaming which will change the future forever.
