Jax's Near-Abstract Moment in Episode 6 🎪

Did you notice this in the amazing digital circus?

During episode 6 we got some huge revelations about jax’s character, including him almost abstracting. Let’s talk about it.

So jax breaks character the most during 6. He swears for the first time and crashes out on pomni, revealing that he treats everyone around him like toys.

Immediately after he almost abstracts in the bathroom, it’s similar to what happened to gangle in 4. It’s apparent now how jax operates. Instead of confronting the fact he’s stuck in this world he instead acts like a cartoon character and hides his past.

Past episodes actually hinted at this. In the pilot he calls pomni a character not a human. He pushes the stereotypes onto the characters, like saying gangle is supposed to be sad.

He breaks the 4th wall constantly.

In 4 he’s mad at gangle for picking an actual real job for the adventure, he doesn’t want to be normal.

And in 5 when the other characters talked about their backstories, jax did a bit and referenced breaking bad.

This is why pomni and jax’s argument in 6 was necessary. Pomni called jax out on his archetype. Everyone else is trying to remain human while jax is the complete opposite.

A happy ending would be jax ditching this persona, and finally explaining his past. But whether that’ll happen remains to be seen.
