What's new in Windows 11 (22H2)'s KB5017389 update (22621.608)

This is the optional update for those on Windows 11, version 22H2 for September 2022 - bringing some minor improvements and one notable feature, first released to the Release Preview Channel on September 22, 2022 before releasing to stable on September 30, 2022. It's the first update to Windows 11, version 22H2 (the 2022 Update) since its release on Tuesday, September 20th.

That notable feature is notification badges on Widgets - when breaking news pops up, a notification badge appears on the Widgets icon. Opening the Widgets panel will show an information banner at the top with details for what triggered the notification.

Aside from that, a heap of bugfixes has been implemented in this update, to make version 22H2 more stable - in surprise to absolutely no one, several bugs crept up with the 2022 Update's release.

On October 4th, Microsoft announced Insiders in the Release Preview Channel running this update - KB5017389, build 22621.608 - would begin testing new experiences coming in an October update. A detailed video on those can be found here: https://youtu.be/xpvdNr-0Wf8
