About this video
This video explains the magnetic contactor and how its terminal's internal connections work in both energized and de-energized states.
A magnetic contactor is an electrically controlled switch used for switching a power circuit, similar to a relay but designed to handle higher currents. It is commonly used to control electric motors, lighting, heating, and other heavy electrical loads.
Key Features:
• Electromagnetic Coil: When energized, it creates a magnetic field that pulls in the contactor’s contacts to close the circuit.
• Contacts: Includes main power contacts (for load) and auxiliary contacts (for control).
• Normally Open (NO) Contacts: Most contactors use NO contacts that close only when the coil is energized.
