Kenyan Creative Industries: What They Need 🎨

Would you like to meet Kenyan Creatives? Then come take a look! In this video musicians, sound engineers, fashion designers and painters share what it means to be a creative professional in Kenya, what challenges they face and what is needed to make the creative sector thrive.

As part of the supra-regional project ‘Cultural and Creative Industries’, Kenyan creatives participated in needs-oriented trainings to improve their income and employment prospects. The project is implemented by. the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Goethe-Institut on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The project improves employment and income opportunities for creative professionals in six partner countries; Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Kenya, Senegal, and South Africa, and operates mainly in the music, fashion, design, and animation sectors.
