Inside a US Navy P-8 Poseidon Aircraft ✈️

Ever wonder what its like inside one of #NATO's P-8 'Poseidon' antisubmarine warfare planes?


Take a look as US Navy LT Chandler Hasemeyer gives us a tour of the aircraft.


Chandler and his crew are currently participating in Exercise #DynamicManta off the Italian coast, where they will train to locate and track submarines through simulated exercises.


Dynamic Manta is an annual NATO aero-naval exercise aimed at testing submarine warfare and anti-submarine warfare capabilities. It provides a framework for naval forces to maintain high readiness and ability to operate together. The exercise involves naval and air units from different NATO countries. __

Allied Command Operations (ACO), NATO's headquarters for all military plans and operations, is the successor to two historic strategic commands for NATO – Allied Command Europe and Allied Command Atlantic.

ACO is one of The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation's (NATO) two strategic military commands. The other command being Allied Command Transformation ACT in Norfolk, Virginia.

ACO is commanded by the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) and is responsible for all Alliance military operations. The command headquarters, known as Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, or SHAPE, is located in Casteau near Mons, Belgium. The mission of ACO and the SACEUR is to contribute to preserving the peace, security and territorial integrity of NATO member nations in its area of responsibility.
