2 LPA medium chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Pagasa said on Tuesday that it is closely monitoring two low pressure areas (LPAs) — one inside and one outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Pagasa Administrator said the LPA inside PAR is near Vinzons, Camarines Norte. It’s not expected to become a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

The other LPA is 1,780 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao. It has a medium chance of becoming a tropical depression within 24 hours.

PAGASA also said that the LPA might enter PAR and could become a tropical depression named ‘Ramil’ — the 18th cyclone to hit the country this year.
