Ancient Coffins Discovered in Saqqara 🏺

Archaeologists have discovered 59 sealed coffins buried deep in Saqqara, near Cairo. Most of them date back about 2,500 years, to Egypt’s 26th Dynasty. Many still contain mummies wrapped in linen, with painted faces and inscriptions. These findings offer a clear glimpse into how ancient Egyptians prepared for the afterlife and also highlight Egypt’s efforts to revive tourism through new archaeological discoveries.
