Welfare Cuts Spark Outrage: Thousands Face Poverty Increase 😡

A quarter of a million people more are expected to be pushed into poverty after benefit cuts announced today, according to the governments own impact assessment of the spring statement. Rachel Reeves needed to find 14 billion pounds of savings after the UK's growth forecast was halved. Almost five billion pounds of that came from cuts to the welfare budget.
