Kompany's Post-Match: Bayern's 3-1 Loss to Arsenal 😅

Post-match press conference with Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany after their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in the Champions League league phase.

Goals from Jurriën Timber, Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli gave Mikel Arteta’s side a statement win after 17 year old Lennart Karl had briefly levelled for Bayern.

Kompany admits Arsenal deserved the victory, praises their set piece strength and second half intensity and says Bayern could not keep them without threat for the whole game. He reflects on Bayern’s excellent team goal from Joshua Kimmich’s pass into Karl, stresses that small details at throw ins and corners changed the momentum and insists this defeat must become a lesson the team use to build towards March and April.

Kompany also says he does not want Bayern to be the best team in November, talks about staying respectful with officials and explains how emotion after a first loss in months can still help his side grow.
