Over the last 3 years of learning game development, I’ve learned so many different things. Over the countless devlogs, I’ve learned how not to build AI systems, how inventory systems in games get so complex, and how sub pixel movement gives me motion.
But across this game development journey, I haven’t properly released any of my indie games. Most of the games I worked on I published to Itch.io or were game jam type games.
And through some recent Steam drama, I found out the importance of actually shipping a production indie game!
So here is how I almost wasted 3 years trying to build my dream game!
