About this video
Unboxing the Vivo V25 5G, including camera review, gaming tests, full specs of the UK model and what's different vs the V23 and the V25 Pro. Once again, we have one of the best budget camera smartphones of 2022 - the Vivo V25 5G can pump out good looking pics and respectable 4K video. I've spent a couple of days with this affordable phone and here's the full skinny.
Now, in one way this smartphone is a downgrade vs the V23, namely the performance. Mediatek's Dimensity 920 chipset has been replaced with a 900, but thankfully everyday running is still smooth. Gaming is also possible on Call of Duty, PubG and Genshin Impact, as long as you aren't expecting lush visuals and perfect frame rates. The Vivo V25 5G even serves up a proper gamer mode. If you want, you can upgrade to the V25 Pro with even more grunt.
Battery life is excellent and the media chops are also solid. You've got a sharp, slick AMOLED screen with HDR10 Plus support, although the mono speaker setup is quite basic. Storage is expandable and sadly there's no headphone jack - despite those bundled earphones!
The Vivo V25 5G also boasts a funky colour-changing design which I like, despite the fat iPhone-style edges.
