About this video

Théorie des champs conforme et systèmes quantiques à plusieurs corps/Conformal field theory and quantum many-body physics : Août-September/August-September 21-09 19 Août/August 19: Webpage: http://www.crm.umontreal.ca/2022/Graph22/groupe_Minicours_e.php Schedule: http://www.crm.umontreal.ca/2022/Graph22/pdf/Schedule.pdf Viv Kendon: There are several different ways to use quantum walks as part of a computation. I will first set the context of what a computation is. Then, I will discuss constraints on how quantum walks can be useful for computation. I will give an overview of the different ways in which quantum walks have been proposed as computational tools. For the latter part of the mini-course, I will focus on using continuous-time quantum walks in a quantum optimization setting, including recent results and open questions.
