Vice Grip (2024): Horror Short of a Dreamer’s Fight

An influencer trains to become a lucid dreamer to battle against an evil force in her nightmare.

"Vice Grip" is the third short horror film from writer, producer, and director, Dillon Vibbart. This horror film also serves as the final entry in our nightmare anthology series after "Somniphobia" and "Don't Hide."

The film was produced on a $22k budget with the help from our film's co-sponsor, Bruce Clay Inc. Shot on the ARRI Mini and utilizing a skeleton crew, it was filmed in October 2023 across 3 different locations in Los Angeles, CA. The goal of the film was to tell a story that could seem like a worthy final entry in our nightmare series, but also continuing to explore important themes that go beyond just the scares.

With an amazing team behind this project, we hope “Vice Grip” can display another prime example of indie filmmaking at its best. Enjoy!
